Success Academy’s Core Values of Learners and Educators guide everything we do here at the Robertson Center. Written with the deep-seated conviction that every part of schooling must be taken seriously, they help us think about the different facets that go into great learning and make choices accordingly.

Whether we’re thinking about creative ways to help scholars reason through math problems, ensuring children have the support they need to become lifelong readers, or building blocks of time for scholars to explore their passions throughout the day, one (or more!) of our core values is at the heart of every schooling decision.

Thinking Thinking is the goal
We equate learning and thinking. We believe educators and learners must embrace the courage and perseverance needed for strong reasoning and original ideas. Learn more about great thinking here.

Purpose Know your intention
We choreograph the learning process and execute it with clear intentions. We believe every single choice must be made to achieve a goal in service of our values. Learn more about our vision of purposeful learning here.

Environment Protect the rights of all to learn
We act on every facet of the educational environment to facilitate learning at the highest level. We believe learners are individuals who deserve a space where all have an equal opportunity to learn and grow. Learn more about cultivating a strong classroom environment here.

Autonomy Learn how to learn
We equip ourselves and those around us to become autonomous learners who can achieve at the highest levels. We believe a successful education results in the intellectual ability and emotional determination to thrive in and beyond the classroom. Learn more about building student autonomy here.

Curiosity Wonder and explore
We are hungry to learn and love doing it. We believe the best learning happens by asking questions, building knowledge, and seeking answers. Learn more about curiosity here

Outcomes Take stock and make change
We seek qualitative and quantitative data to assess and improve the quality of teaching and learning. We believe you must take the time to analyze outcomes and reflect on the cause in order to make change.

Excellence Be the best
We relentlessly pursue excellence. We believe in continuously increasing our standard and striving to achieve it.
